The documentary problem
Research produces documents faster than it produces the architecture that would keep them intelligible: protocols, datasets, versions, theses and reports accumulate without an explicit structure, and reproducibility suffers long before anyone notices.
What the platform brings
Documentary System Science gives research a named object of study and a teachable corpus. Doctoral programmes can build teaching on the founding works; laboratories and centres of excellence can reconstruct the architecture of their own documentary production and govern it deliberately.
Method A and Method B in this context
Method A — Documentary Reconstruction rebuilds the architecture of the corpus you already hold: structure, production rules, gaps and contradictions become explicit. Method B — Documentary Construction designs and governs a new documentary system from the ground up. Both run inside the platform workspace and are unlocked by an active edition.
